Former asylum in Ohio, opened in 1874 as The Athens Mental Health Center and later known as Athens Mental Health and Retardation Center, Athens State Hospital and The Ridges, the site of which is now absorbed into the Ohio University, Athens Ohio campus, where the Kirkbride building has found new use as Lin Hall - Kennedy Museum of American Art.
