Julia Sawalha (pronounced sah-WAHL-ah) is an award-winning English actress who has appeared in leading roles on television, stage, and film.

Perhaps best known for her role as Saffron Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, die hard fans first discovered her as Lynda Day in the UK series Press Gang. It was in this role that she won a Royal Television Society award as best female actress in 1993.
