Fred Gwynne was born Frederick Hubbard Gwynne on July 10, 1926, and died from pancreatic cancer on July 2, 1993. He was known mostly for his work on The Munsters as Herman Munster. However he has appeared in many other films, including The Cotton Club, Fatal Attraction, Pet Sematary, and Disorganised Crime, although the film My Cousin Vinny, is perhaps his most memorable.
