Sonoma Valley is an American Viticultural Area comprising a portion of southeastern Sonoma County. It is bordered on the south by the Los Carneros region, and on the north by the town of Santa Rosa (just to the south of the Russian River Valley and Green Valley A.V.A.'s). It also includes the Sonoma Mountain A.V.A. Some towns within the Sonoma Valley region include:

• Glen Ellen
• Kenwood
• Oakmont
• and parts of Sonoma

Many people refer to the entire Sonoma County wine region as Sonoma Valley. However, this category only lists the resources relevant to the actual Sonoma Valley region. Other wine regions in Sonoma County include:
