Some examples of softbill species are Broadbills, Manakins, Sunbirds, Honeyeaters, Starlings-Mynahs, Drongos from the passerines family and Hammerkops, Jacanas, Turacos, Frogmouths, Hummingbirds, Mousebirds, Hornbills and Toucans-Aracaris from the non-passerines.
