The Faculty of Medical and Veterinary Sciences began life on the 1st of August 2003. It is composed of six departments, five of these departments (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology and Physiology) make up the School of Medical Sciences which is situated in the University campus. The sixth department is the School of Clinical Veterinary Science located on the Langford site to the south of Bristol.
