In 1958 the School of Physical Education was established within the College of Arts and Science. With the formation of the School, a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education was created. The School was granted College status in 1972 and became the College of Physical Education. The degree became a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Finally, in 1998 the College was renamed the College of Kinesiology. The degree was renamed the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology [B.Sc.(Kin.)].
