Lifton is a village and parish with population around 1000, on the confluence of the Rivers Lyd and Tamar, including hamlets of Tinhay and Liftondown, formerly on, and now bypassed by, the A30 to Launceston, where the Tamar forms the county boundary with Cornwall.  The northern boundary of the parish is West Devon boundary with the Torridge District Council, represented here by the category for  Broadwoodwidger Rural District
Until there are sufficient websites, this category also lists websites for Lewtrenchard, with postal address often referring to Lewdown, though websites for the area further east are included in the  Lydford category.
Websites for the village of Chillaton may also be included here, but those for areas further south are included in the  Lamerton category.
This category includes websites for those areas within the county boundary, east of the Tamar, as far south as Milton Abbot.
