Charity formerly known as 'The Cats Protection League', name changed to 'Cats Protection' in 1999. Founded in 1927. Objects are to rescue and rehome unwanted and abandoned cats, and promote responsible cat ownership. Service is provided via a network of 30 Shelters (run directly by Headquarters) and 260 Branches (run by volunteers) throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
