This category is for sites about the various communities within Chatham-Kent. It includes former villages, hamlets and townships that merged to form Chatham-Kent in 1998 as well as both older and newer neighborhoods and districts within the municipality. We have divided the communities into two groups, neighborhoods and localities. Neighborhoods are communities of Chatham-Kent for which we have integrated most of the listings with the other Chatham-Kent listings. Listings for schools, churches, businesses, and most organizations for these communities will be found in the Chatham-Kent area. However, we are listing sites that are about the neighborhood as a whole within this Communities category. Localities are communities we have treated as if they were still independent towns. Listings for various groups, organizations, businesses, and services are listed with the specific community category rather than in the Chatham-Kent one.
