The Village of West Montrose is in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Township of Woolwich. It is located south of Regional Road 85 between Elmira and Guelph. It is on the West bank of the Grand River and is the site of Ontario's sole remaining covered bridge, known locally as the Kissing Bridge.
