Established in 1893, Algonquin Park is Ontario's first and perhaps best known provincial park. It consists of 7,725 square kilometres of wild and beautiful lakes and forests, bogs and rivers, cliffs, and beaches. It is a major wilderness canoeing destination and also provides opportunities for hiking and non-wilderness camping.
