In between the Avenues a sixteenth of a mile apart of sub-avenues with names like M-4, M-5, etc. Avenue M-8 is half-way between Avenue M and Avenue N. Similarly, sub-streets that run north-south are a tenth of a mile apart, and named 11th and 12th Streets West, etc. Quartz Hill is centered at Avenue M and 50th Street West.
