One of the last neighborhoods developed in the city, Blue Hills is primarily single family residential homes. It has the highest owner occupancy rate in Hartford, with a large African American and West Indian population.
In addition, Mount Sinai-St. Francis Hospital, is located in the neighborhood, as is much of the campus of the University of Hartford.
