Frog Hollow was originally developed as housing for employees of the factories which lined Capitol Avenue. The neighborhood produced Columbia bicycles, Underwood and Olivetti typewriters and a variety of other goods at the turn of the 20th century. The neighborhood is home to Pope Park, designed by the renowned Olmstead Brothers landscape architects.
Today, the neighborhood is a center of Latino culture and business. The neighborhood benefits from its proximity to Trinity College, which is now taking an active role in the neighborhood and its development.
