Fort Campbell is home to the Army's 101st Airborne Division, the only Air Assault Division in the world. The base supports the following main weapons systems: Infantry, Aviation, Field Artillery, Air Defense Artillery. Although officially identified as being located in Kentucky, this large base spans the Kentucky-Tennessee border near Clarksville, Tennessee, and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. On post are more than 4,100 family housing units, seven dependent schools, and social, religious, and recreational activities to support these and off-post families. Fort Campbell also has a large post exchange-commissary complex, recreation accommodations for all seasons, and a new modern hospital.
