The East End of Long Island, New York in the United States is split at Riverhead (which is at the mouth of the Riverhead River and the head of the Peconic Bays) into two points, Montaulk and Orient. Cutchogue is an unincorporated hamlet of Southold Town in the heart of the North Fork, halfway to Orient Point. From potatoes and other vegetables to fruits starting with strawberries and sweet peas to vinifera grapes from which are used in local production of world class wine, in addition to the farm produce the seafood and watersports are super. Local history extends back to colonial early American days and Native American civilization.
