Animal Rights Organizations are concerned with the abolition of the use of animals for the purposes of food, consumer items, experimentation and entertainment. They believe that these practices lie merely in tradition and that species membership is not morally relevant. Therefore, all sentient beings have fundamental rights that protect from oppression.

Animal Rights Organizations largely involve themselves in public awareness campaigns in an effort to promote veganism and expose many facets of animal cruelty rooted in generally accepted practices such as meat eating, and also lobby governments and corporations to instill change.
