L. Ron Hubbard developed workable and proven technology to handle the effects of drugs. This category includes the activities directly sponsored by Scientology churches and the secular application of Mr. Hubbard’s drug rehabilitation technology in Narconon programs. Narconon is a grassroots movement, supported by Scientologists and Scientology churches. It was begun in the mid-1960s when a prisoner in the Arizona State Penitentiary solved his own drug problem using the principles described in one of L. Ron Hubbard’s books.
