Strudwick grew up in Alberta, and followed his cousins Rob and Scott Niedermayer into the NHL. He plays defence, and has played for the New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. While in Vancouver he often appears on radio station CFOX in the afternoons. He scored his first NHL goal in the 99-00 season after 139 games.
