Livsåskådningssystem som inspirerats av bl.a. indisk religion (t.ex. reinkarnationslära), västerländsk evolutionism och gnosticism. Teosofiska samfundet bildades 1875 av Helena Blavatsky och H.S. Olcott, men splittrades snart upp i olika grenar. Tre av dessa finns representerade i Sverige: Teosofiska samfundet Adyar, Teosofiska samfundet Pasadena och United Lodge of Theosophists.
